Terms of sale

These terms govern the purchase of Vintage & The City services by consumers, under the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) and the Italian e-commerce law (Legislative Decree 70/2003). By booking or buying you confirm you have read them. In case of doubt the Italian version prevails.

2. Services
- Group vintage tours (Vintage Tour Luxury and Vintage Tour Thrifting): on Saturdays, 3 to 8 people, about 2.5 hours, €50 per person.
- Private vintage tour: about 3 hours, €450 up to 2 people, +€75 per extra person (max 4).
- Design & home tour: half or full day, price on request with a custom quote.
- Online styling consultation: €190. Vintage sourcing: price on quote.
- Digital gift cards and PDF city guides.
Tours are a personal shopping and style advice service: we take you to the shops and advise you; they do not include tourist guiding on historical or artistic heritage.
3. Prices
Prices are in euros and are final: there are no extra costs beyond those shown. Purchases in the shops, your own transport and anything not expressly listed are not included. Whatever you buy in the shops is a contract between you and the shop, which is the seller of those goods and is responsible for the legal guarantee.
4. Booking and payment
- Group tours, gift cards and guides: bought online on Payhip by card or PayPal. The contract is concluded when you receive the order confirmation email.
- Private tours, design tours, consultations and sourcing: booked by email or form. The contract is concluded with our written confirmation and payment of 30% of the price as an advance (balance due by the day of the service) or of the full amount, via a payment link.
We issue the tax document required by law for every payment.
5. On the day
You receive the meeting point by email after booking. Group tours run with at least 3 participants: if the minimum is not reached we let you know at least 48 hours before, and you can choose another date or a full refund. The route may change if a shop is closed or for reasons beyond our control, keeping the same duration and type of experience. If you are more than 15 minutes late we cannot guarantee to wait.
Photos and videos during the tour: we only film participants with their consent, asked at the start of the tour. Anyone who does not want to appear is not filmed.
6. Cancellations by you
- Group tours: free cancellation with full refund up to 48 hours before the start. After that the ticket is not refundable, but you can transfer it free of charge to someone else by letting us know by email.
- Private and design tours: the advance is refunded if you cancel up to 7 days before. After that the advance is retained; you can ask once to move the date, subject to availability.
7. Cancellations by us
If we have to cancel a tour (for example due to illness or force majeure) we offer you another date and, if it does not suit you, a full refund within 14 days.
8. Right of withdrawal
- Tours: the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific date (Art. 59(1)(n) Italian Consumer Code, implementing Art. 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU). The cancellation terms in section 6 apply.
- Gift cards: you can withdraw within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason, if the card has not been used.
- Online consultations and sourcing: you can withdraw within 14 days of the contract. If you ask us to start before that, you pay for the part already performed; once the service has been fully performed with your agreement, you lose the right of withdrawal (Arts. 57 and 59(1)(a)).
- Digital guides: as digital content supplied immediately at your request, you lose the right of withdrawal once the download starts (Art. 59(1)(o)).
To withdraw, simply send a clear statement by email to hello@vintagethecity.com, for example: "I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: … ordered on … - name, address, date". We refund you within 14 days using the same payment method.
9. Gift cards
Valid for 12 months from purchase, transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and used for the service shown on a date agreed according to availability.
10. Liability
We are responsible for the proper delivery of our services. We are not responsible for goods bought in the shops (quality, authenticity, defects), for which the seller is responsible, nor for personal belongings lost during the tour. This does not limit liability where the law does not allow it (Art. 1229 Italian Civil Code) or your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Complaints
For any complaint write to hello@vintagethecity.com: we reply within 14 days. You can also turn to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body listed by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
12. Governing law and courts
Contracts are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any more favourable protection under the law of the consumer's country of residence. For disputes with consumers, the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile have jurisdiction.
13. Website terms of use
- Content. Texts, photos, videos, graphics, logo and guides on this site belong to Vintage & The City or are used under licence, and are protected by copyright. You may share links to our pages; you may not copy, republish or use the content commercially without our written permission. Purchased guides are for personal use.
- Trademarks. "Vintage & The City" and the V& logo identify our business. Names of shops and brands mentioned belong to their owners and are used for descriptive purposes only, without affiliation.
- Information. We take care over our content, but shop opening hours, addresses and availability can change: check before you go. The prices and conditions that apply are those shown when you book.
- External links. The site links to third-party platforms (Payhip, Substack, Instagram, TikTok, Google): we are not responsible for their content or rules.
- Fair use. You may not use the site or the contact form to send spam or unlawful content, or try to disrupt it.
- Automated systems. Search engines and AI assistants may read and quote our public pages with a link to the source; full reproduction of paid guides is not allowed.
